As a Lead Valet - Cleaning Service, you will provide services to residents according to Valet Living standards. While providing cleaning services in resident homes, you will be responsible for effective communication with residents and delivering an excellent experience. Along with the normal Cleaning Services duties, you will also have elevated duties that require additional partnership with the District Manager.


Pay: $17 to $18 per Hour


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday - 9:00AM-5:00PM


Lead Valet - Cleaning Services Essential Duties:

  • Assist with onboarding and training of new associates
  • Provide job shadowing training for new associates
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the Cleaning Services role
  • Act as a first point of contact for other Valet - Cleaning Services regarding certain inquiries
  • Partner with District Manager to provide feedback on how to improve day-to-day duties and/or processes
  • Complete quality checks and/or audits as directed by the District Manager
  • Assist with minor quality client and resident complaints and/or questions
  • Assist with learning initiatives that foster an environment for continuous growth, development, and creative out-of-the-box thinking
  • Act as a liaison and/or the District Managers partner at resident events
  • Be knowledgeable of all Valet Living services available at specific communities
  • Ensure Home Valets maintain and adhere to the proper safety protocols and procedures
  • The Lead Valet schedule is subject to change dependent upon business needs

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver memorable interactions with all residents by being friendly, answering questions and being helpful as you develop a strong rapport with each client
  • Provide exemplary cleaning experience to residents
  • Understand special cleaning requests and preferences of each resident
  • Build a strong rapport with each client so they welcome you back
  • Ensure nothing is missed by cleaning the room at the end furthest from the main door
  • Dust and polish every surface, including tables, dressers, televisions, and headboards
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms from top to bottom, usually starting with the mirror
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum or other cleaners
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen from top to bottom and load dishes into dishwasher.
  • Empty wastebaskets and take trash to the compactor
  • Sweep, vacuum and/or mop entire home just prior to leaving the unit
  • Ensure all tasks in the cleaning checklist have been performed prior to leaving the unit
  • Perform rotation cleaning including carpet shampooing, deep cleaning, wipe ceiling fans, window washing etc.
  • Maintain safety standards by wearing gloves and practicing proper lifting techniques
  • Ensure security of resident homes and privacy of residents while entering, cleaning and exiting the home
  • Communicate to Resident Concierge and Resident once home cleaning is complete
  • May be asked to perform other amenity services

  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Able to keep up with the physical demands of being on your feet and walking for much of the day
  • Must have excellent knowledge on how to use cleaning supplies
  • Must have excellent knowledge in cleaning techniques for all areas of the home
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Able to cope with inclement weather (rain, snow, cold, or heatwave)
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to take direction, be reliable, work productively on ones own and adhere to a schedule
  • Own an iPhone with IOS 9 or newer or Android 6 or newer
  • Comfortable with downloading and using mobile apps

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in cleaning rooms or homes
  • Experience as a room attendant in a hotel is a plus
  • Must be able to provide a reference
